#RSRSeesTheUSA Day 18: Yucca Valley & Palm Springs, CA

A 5-senses list today (on these next few days that I’m spending with friends, I’m likely going to do shorter posts, since Friend Time needs maximizing).

Sight

the billboard for the Wine and Rock Shop that features a kitten holding a bottle of alcohol

Sound

Fire Pit Dying Down
Yucca Valley, CA

Taste

the easily 2-avocados-worth of guacamole and salad add-ins that I ate (after paying $5 for a bag of 6 avocados from a vendor in a truck on the side of the road)

Smell

campfire smell seeping into my clothing (we kept our fire small and controlled and doused it A LOT when we were done)

Touch

the coldness of hopping into our saltwater pool after the heat of walking around Palm Springs

Creative Writing Corner:

The sun bleached her of her energy, siphoning little molecules of attention out of her pores, but oh, the drowsy haze felt sweet.
