#RSRSeesTheUSA Day 20: Joshua Tree & Yucca Valley, CA
What a delicious final day with my college besties, reuniting for the first time we’ve all been together in over 5 years.
We explored flea markets and health food stores. We were very obviously the resented-by-the-locals Airbnb guests. We prowled around the very excellent Noah Purifoy Outdoor Museum and adored it. We ate nachos and drank rosé and beer and La Croix mocktails, and we spent all afternoon by the pool and the evening in the hot tub. We talked some and laughed a lot and sat around silently doing our own separate things, and it was all lovely.
We’ve officially all known each other more than half our lives now, and we’ve got a collective almost-two-and-a-half-centuries of life and wisdom and experience and growth under our belts.
These ladies are ride or die. We’ve seen each other through so many hilarious moments and traumatic ones. We’ve been through major life milestones together, and also little moments whose only consequence is that we’ve shared them.
I love you all, Stacey and Amy and Molly and Ximena and Lauren. I’m so glad you’re my Desert Rat cabal.
